What was Herbs for Health?

Herbs for Health was a non-accredited course funded by Middlesbrough Community Learning’s ‘Learning for Inclusion’ grant funding, awarded by the Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA), as part of the devolved Adult Education Budget (AEB).

Herbs for Health helped Middlesbrough-based residents to build the skills and confidence to identify, forage and grow herbs and weeds to harvest, and make healthy and sustainable products from the plants that grow abundantly around them.

Herbs for Health aimed to inspire and motivate local people to access outdoor spaces more frequently and become more interested in their local environment.

Who did it help?

Herbs for Health supported Middlesbrough-based residents aged 19+.
