One year after opening its doors at Actes Trust's Resource Centre, the KFC Youth Hub is making a powerful and measurable difference to young people across Middlesbrough. Since launching in March 2025, the Hub has delivered nearly 3,000 meaningful engagements, with an impressive 90% of visits coming from returning young people - a clear sign of the trust, relationships and sense of belonging being built. Supporting young people aged 8 to 24, the Hub has quickly become a safe, welcoming space where individuals can build confidence, develop skills and access vital support.

The past year has seen significant growth, with 17 targeted programmes ranging from mentoring and wellbeing support to employability, youth clubs and physical activity. Strong partnerships with local schools and a growing weekly attendance have helped extend the Hub’s reach, while its work connecting young people across TS1 and TS3 is breaking down barriers and strengthening communities.
